Looking at it from an outsider’s perspective, conflicts are often quite obvious, and their nature is usually apparent.
However, when you’re in the thick of things, it’s a whole different story. Sometimes, you just can’t see the forest for the trees.
I don’t have a simple solution for continuously identifying and addressing your blind spots alone.
Currently, I’m revisiting “The Road Less Stupid” by Keith Cunningham.
It’s like a revelation – one insight after another about what we’re not doing right in our business across various aspects.
I’m compiling a list to share with our coach so we can focus on two critical areas.
First, we need to pay closer attention to the finer points of completing processes. As Kurek Ashley wisely said, “completion changes things,” and I’ve realized that it’s not the 99% but that last 1% where the real magic lies.
We sometimes move on too quickly, neglecting what truly matters.
By the way, if you think you’re the exception to this, that’s probably the biggest blind spot of all.
