As I find myself immersed in a journey spanning a few weeks, I’ve been contemplating the true essence of owning a “Commercial Profitable Enterprise That Works Without Me.”
I’ve gained substantial clarity on the actions I need to take once our business reaches the point where a CEO can effectively oversee its operations.
It’s apparent that content creation and streamlined execution are the most impactful contributions I offer. No doubt about it.
Hence, the initial question I’d like to pose to you on your own path is this: How well-defined are your most valuable tasks and skills?
Do you possess a crystal-clear understanding of what needs to be done and in what quantity?
Furthermore, I’ve come to realize the equal importance of taking time off as opposed to constantly being in action.
In the past, I’ve occasionally succumbed to the culture of hard work and relentless dedication. While I’ve never subjected myself to grueling 60+ hour workweeks, my genuine passion for our endeavors has led me to engage in some form of work almost every day. It’s no longer the extended 12-hour slogs I used to endure when employed by others, though.
Now, I’m at a juncture where I’m prepared to entrust the day-to-day operations to a capable CEO when the time is right.
Hence, the second query I present to you is this: Are you emotionally prepared to fully delegate the operations of your business to a President or CEO and then step aside to allow them to lead?
