Alright, let’s get brutally honest.
I often come across individuals working with industry-specific coaches who are all about vision and grand plans. But when I ask how they’re planning to make more money quickly, I get nothing but blank stares. “We’re focusing on vision and things like that.”
Come on. Vision isn’t going to buy your groceries, cover your payroll, or pay your rent. There’s a natural order to growing your business, and it doesn’t start with fluffy dreams.
The reality is, making money has to come first.
It’s frustrating, to say the least. Industry-specific coaches often get lost in abstract concepts instead of zeroing in on practical strategies to get you cash-flow positive. If you’re just spinning your wheels with vision statements and industry jargon, you’re missing the point. The same goes for marketing. If you’re hearing about “no guarantees” and “big upfront investments,” run the other way. Marketing should be about acquiring customers, not drowning in catchphrases and glossy graphics.
Let’s cut through the noise: Business is about making money. Money is the reward for the value you create. You likely deserve more, but you have to prioritize revenue generation first.
Get real. Get focused. Get profitable.
