I wanted to take the time to reflect on the entrepreneur ladder and its significance in our business journey.
Firstly, I shared this ladder with you to illustrate that there is a path to the top, where you can become an investor, leveraging your skills at each rung along the way.
However, it’s essential to acknowledge that most individuals, even those at the manager or director level, often hesitate to take that step towards ownership. It can be a form of self-sabotage or a fear of separating themselves from the pack.
But now, armed with the knowledge and the necessary skill set, you have the power to make that leap if you choose to. You have a clear understanding of what comes next and the direction to take.
The transition from director to owner, or from entrepreneur to investor, is not easy. It requires separating yourself from the norm in a very deliberate manner. You may face resistance or skepticism from those around you who are still managing their own businesses. They might question your decision to entrust your business to a general manager, or make assumptions about your newfound freedom.
It’s important to remember that not everyone will support or understand your journey. However, those who do embrace this new level of business will be truly remarkable. As you climb the ladder, you will encounter individuals who inspire and challenge you, opening doors to opportunities that may not be visible to you right now.
So, my advice is to keep climbing. Embrace the uniqueness of each rung, for with each step, you will meet fascinating people and uncover possibilities that can propel your success beyond imagination.
Keep pushing forward and never lose sight of the magic that awaits you.
