In the words of Mark Twain, “The world owes you nothing, it was here first,” which is undeniably true. However, it’s equally important to recognize that the world is ready to grant you anything you genuinely desire – not just something you’d like to have, but the kind of desire that says, “I will obtain that no matter the cost.”
This kind of unwavering focus is the same kind of focus discussed in “Think and Grow Rich,” and it’s tough to achieve. There’s so much noise, frustration, and distractions in our lives that make it challenging to concentrate on a single goal.
With so many things competing for our attention, it’s easy to get distracted from what Napoleon Hill calls our “definite major purpose.” But through meditation, journaling, exercise, visualization, “I Am” statements, and chiropractic care, we can help ourselves stay focused.
Most importantly, we must have a Definite Major Purpose, also known as a goal. When we know precisely what we want and are willing to do whatever it takes to achieve it, the world will conspire to give us what we desire. The crucial thing is whether or not we can concentrate enough to make it happen.
